(Google notes that this won’t eliminate the location info from the original photo, but just change it within Photos. You can access this directly or navigate within Google Photos to Settings > Manage your data and personalization > Download your data. You can also strip out location data from individual photos by clicking on the photo and then the Info icon on the top right at that point, you can either change the location info or get rid of it. Go to Settings, then to Sharing, and toggle on “Remove geo location in items shared by link.” Google notes that this doesn’t remove geolocation data for photos and videos that you share “by other means” in the app. You can tell Google Photos to automatically strip out the location data from images and videos that you share with a link.Once you grab it and scroll either up or down, you’ll see the month and year pop up next to your finger so you know when to stop. After a while, Google Photos will start backing up your photos. Click 'Allow' to permit the iCloud Photos to access your photo library. Then open Google Photos and click 'Get Start'. For the mobile app: if you know when a photo you’re looking for was taken, it’s much faster to use the scrubber on the right side (that appears as you scroll) to navigate your library. Likewise, download Google Photos to backup your photos on your iOS device. Pinching in will increase the number of images shown on screen at once until you get to a month / year view, while pinching outward will zoom in to display just a few photos at a time - but much larger. You can change the look and density of your library as it appears on your phone’s screen with a pinching gesture.
